'Pension Plan' Drawings. Work of the Month, February 2018

The Estate of Peter Prendergast have a considerable number of works on paper yet to be seen. Some of these are personal works, only ever having been displayed in the family house, works from sketchbooks or works that Peter tentatively referred to as 'the pension plan'. Anyone who knew him will know that Peter unapologetically believed drawing was at the cornerstone of all successful art work and as such we feel it is a good time to begin showcasing these works. Over the next few months we aim to add images to our gallery page as well as showing a work of the month.

February's work of the month is titled 'Gelert', 1969-1971. Gelert was Peter and Lesley's first dog. She would often keep Peter company at the studio in Reading, coming home covered in paint, as she insisted on sitting directly beneath the easel!
