Work of the Month, June 2019

This months image is a large graphite and charcoal drawing made out of the window of Peter's Bangor studio overlooking the local swimming pool.

The Volkswagon Camper Van seen in the foreground was affectionately known in the family as 'the gruble'. The gruble took us on our first, and last, family holiday abroad; to France. The gruble was to be Peter and Lesley's accomdation while the four children camped. We visited Monet's Garden whilst there and the family kitchen was soon after painted yellow, inspired by the kitchen at Giverny. Luckily we had AA membership as shortly after we arrived the engine blew up! This resulted in us having to spend some nights in a Hotel much to the delight of the teenagers in the family. Peter's youngest son, Emil who was 14 at the time, was a huge fan of this van and its driving handling. However, that is another story altogether!
